The SHA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the history of Spotsylvania County in its entirety. Through exhibitions, educational programs, partnerships, and collections support, the society works to create a greater knowledge and appreciation for our County and American history in audiences of all ages.
We host several public events during the year and volunteer throughout the county to help preserve and educate on the history that saw the birth of our nation to today.
We are always looking for new members that desire to preserve our history. See the Membership tab for information on membership dues and benefits.
